The Redemption: Kickboxer 5 (1995) on Netflix

Plot summary

Negaal, a former South African kickboxer, launches his own federation and wants the world's champions in it. When American champion David Sloane refuses the offer, three of Negaal's men, Moon, Bull and Pinto, fly to Los Angeles. David's friend Matt Reeves, a former kickboxer who teaches martial arts, is shaken by the death. That same night Matt's onetime student Johnny Styles wins the vacant United States Championship, and the three men invite him to join the federation. Matt, wary of them, goes looking for Johnny after a friend tells him the same trio had spoken to David shortly before he was found dead. Negaal decides Matt must die, and Bollen, his right-hand man, makes the arrangements. Matt sets out for Johannesburg to find Negaal, and gains an unexpected ally, Paul Croft, who once belonged to Negaal's organization.
