Plot summary

A family painting depicts a cycle that repeats every hundred years, when the Red Queen comes back from the dead to claim seven victims. Hoping to end that cycle, the sisters' grandfather, Tobias, has the painting removed from their sight. After Tobias dies, Kitty and Evelyn inherit the castle, and when a woman in a red cloak begins killing their circle of friends, the sisters start to suspect the legend is real.
