Trailer

Plot summary

In Raqqa, Sam Ali and Abeer are engaged, but the Syrian Civil War drives them apart. Sam takes refuge in Lebanon, while Abeer's family makes her marry a wealthier man, Ziad, and she moves with him to Brussels. Sam wants to follow her but cannot get papers to travel to Europe. He meets Jeffrey Godefroi, a controversial artist, and the art dealer Soraya Waldy. Godefroi offers to tattoo a large design across Sam's back, one that will serve as a Schengen visa and turn his body into an artwork that museums and buyers can exhibit. Sam agrees, and the tattooed man goes on display.
