Plot summary

A heart transplant leaves Juan Manuel, a businessman, with a personality that no longer feels entirely his own. He wants to know the man whose heart he received, and that search leads him to Vale, Pedro's widow, and to the neighborhood where she lives. Juan Manuel becomes close to Vale and to the people around her, and he helps them quietly, without ever telling Vale about the connection he has to the husband she lost.
