Plot summary
Eva and Kat share a houseboat on a London canal. After their pet dies, Eva's wish to raise a child returns, while Kat would settle for another cat. Eva gives Kat an ultimatum about becoming a mother, and Kat pushes back, attached to the bohemian way of life she pictured for the two of them. Then Kat's best friend, Roger, arrives from Barcelona to party with them, and the idea of the three having a baby together, with Roger as the donor, comes up. Kat feels cornered into agreeing. The insemination they plan is a do-it-yourself attempt at home rather than a clinic.
