Plot summary
A television commercial for a diet drink puts the model Tippi Hedren in front of Alfred Hitchcock. He had worked extensively with Grace Kelly in the 1950s and wants to turn Hedren into the next Grace Kelly. She passes her screen test and, to her surprise, is quickly cast in the starring role in The Birds, where Hitchcock, at the peak of his career, instructs her on her dress and her appearance. Captivated by her looks, he becomes infatuated with his leading lady, and during filming he makes physical advances to her in a limousine. She rejects him and leaves by the back door.

- To recreate the attic scene from The Birds, live birds were used and men off-camera threw seagulls and pigeons at Sienna Miller's face; she called the two-hour bird attack "pretty horrible".
- Tippi Hedren alleged in Donald Spoto's 2009 book Spellbound by Beauty that Alfred Hitchcock asked her to make herself "sexually available and accessible to him - however and whenever and wherever he wanted"; Spoto was the first person she told the story to.
