Plot summary
In 1683 the people of Devonsville, Massachusetts, seized three women accused of witchcraft: Jessica Morley, Mary Pratt and Rebecca Carson. Three centuries on, Devonsville is still a small farming community. Dr. Warley, the local physician, is looking into the curse the executions supposedly left on the town, and suffers from an illness that sends worms crawling from his skin. Three newcomers arrive: Jenny Scanlon, who teaches at the school, Chris, who studies water quality, and Monica, who gives advice to callers on the radio. Their arrival angers the town's bigoted patriarchs, among them shop owner Walter Gibbs.

- Ulli Lommel's The Devonsville Terror was named in a lawsuit over CinAmerica Pictures, a company that falsely claimed it had produced the film and other Lommel titles including The Boogeyman, listing $150,000 in net profits; the film's actual production company, New West Films, said the film made no net profit.
- The production company paid to repaint the exterior of the historic Brickyard School in Merrill, Wisconsin, which was used as a location; filming also used The Studio Ranch, an independent soundstage built in Gleason for local film productions.
