The Cloud (2006) on Netflix

Plot summary

When the nuclear plant at Markt Ebersberg malfunctions, the authorities evacuate the whole region around Schweinfurt in Bavaria. Hannah's school lies inside it, and her mother is away in Schweinfurt on business, so the girl has to look after her younger brother, Uli. With no way home to Schlitz in East Hesse, Hannah accepts a ride from classmate Lars and his friends. On the drive to Schlitz the teenagers hear radio reports of the accident. Lars's mother pulls him from the car there and tells the others her family must flee and cannot take them along. Hannah walks the rest of the way home and finds Uli waiting. Then her mother telephones from a cosmetics congress with instructions: not the cellar, but Bad Hersfeld, and from there a train to Aunt Helga in Hamburg.
