Plot summary
At a Naval hospital, Jim Fletcher comes out of a coma to learn that he is to face a court martial for treason. He is accused of informing on fellow inmates at a Japanese prison camp during the war, and he is not certain of his own guilt. He escapes from the hospital to clear himself. Martha Gregory, the widow of a service buddy he was said to have informed on, is one ally he seeks out. Ted Niles, another survivor of the camp, helps him as well, and Mark Gregory, his friend and a fellow former prisoner, is the man he is looking for.
