Plot summary
Jerusalem falls in 605 B.C., and Daniel is taken into slavery. He is forced to serve King Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful king of his time, and death is held over him from the start. Daniel proves himself a trusted advisor, and the king places him among his wise men. The danger does not lift with the new position; threats meet him at every turn. Daniel holds to his faith as he serves.
