Plot summary
In 2002, Itthipat, known as Top, is a schoolboy who trades items inside an online game for real money, and his grades slide as a result. The next year he disregards his parents' wish that he go to university and tries reselling Chinese-made DVD players, spending his tuition on a batch of bad quality machines. To raise money for college he secretly takes his father's amulet and sells it, and he skips class, asking a friend to record the lessons for him. A sweet chestnut stand at a trade fair gives him the idea for a business, and he hires his uncle Tuan as a clerk. Their stand in a mall draws no customers, so Top negotiates with the mall to move it elsewhere.
