Plot summary
Motti Wolkenbruch is a good Jewish boy in Zurich, dominated by his mother and studying economics for his family. In class he meets Laura, who wears jeans, drinks gin and tonics and swears, and is not Jewish. He spends time with her, and he knows his mother would never approve. On one date, he and Michal agree to pretend they are a couple so their mothers stop pressing them, and Motti's mother is delighted at the news. He keeps seeing Laura, and his interest in her grows.
