Plot summary
On the night of May 22, 1963, a coup is meant to unfold in Ankara, and Colonel Reha, Major Kemal, Major Rifat and Lieutenant Sinasi hold the Istanbul end of it. Their job is to take over the national radio station and broadcast a version of the announcement prepared for the capital, since the four believe a strong statement on the air is what carries a takeover and wins the people. A sudden rainstorm slows them, the station's technician is nowhere to be found, and word from Ankara fails to arrive. Scrambling to keep the plan on track, they must also contend with their own inefficiency.
