Tesla: Master of Lightning (2000) on Netflix

Plot summary

Nikola Tesla's work runs through the electrical systems of the modern world: alternating-current power transmission and electric motors, high-frequency communication, neon lighting, remote radio control, X-rays. Many of those achievements were credited to his contemporaries, among them Thomas Edison and Guglielmo Marconi, while popular memory long held him as an eccentric cult figure rather than an engineering genius. His technical skill came with little business acumen and an eccentric character. The account follows his life through his own autobiographical and scientific writings, rare photographs and re-creations.
