Sun Ra and his Arkestra are the subject of this documentary, which records their performances in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. from 1978 to 1980. In Philadelphia, the band plays at Danny's Hollywood Palace and atop the Philadelphia International Center. In Baltimore, the Left Bank Jazz Society hosts the group at the Famous Ballroom. The footage mixes the various public and private performances with poetry readings, a band rehearsal, and interviews.
