Rianne and Juliette Schouten are twin sisters. The sisters have grown apart over the years. They were inseparable as children, but as adults they live very differently. Rianne stays in Rotterdam, where she looks after their sick father Cor and runs his snack bar; her passion for collecting has grown out of hand. Juliette works as a professional organizer in Amsterdam and enjoys a life of luxury. When Cor dies, his final wish is to have his ashes scattered on the Spanish coast. Neither sister trusts the other to carry this out properly, so they are forced to make the journey together.
