Plot summary

Kiku Nakagawa lives in Kyoto, where her parents make kimonos and hope she will marry. She has no interest in courtship and spends her time on karate instead. A film studio in the city serves as cover for a cocaine trade: the drug is packed inside Buddhist statues and sold through art galleries to buyers in America. One of the syndicate's American contacts reports that the police have learned of the scheme and that U.S. agents are on their way. Kiku's best friend is Michi, whose half-brother Jim has done strongarm work for the operation. Michi wants revenge on the men in charge, and Kiku enters the studio to help her.
