Plot summary
Dilsher is a simple man from a Punjab village who has set out for London, where the woman he is engaged to is waiting. Before he can meet her, he bumps into Gulab Kaur, a hot headed young woman and an only child of divorced parents. Her parents' split left her doubtful about love, and she is still looking for the real thing. The two end up spending a night together without intending to, and Gulab becomes pregnant. She is uncertain about having the child, while Dilsher wants to keep it. The two of them, who barely know each other, find themselves in a difficult position.
