Plot summary
Nirmal Singh and Naseeb Kaur, known as Seebo, have been married for eight years. Their home holds everything they want except a child, and hope for one has faded. Nirmal's mother is the one who raises the idea of a second marriage, and at her prompting Naseeb urges Nirmal to take her younger sister Kirna as a second wife. Sharing her husband proves difficult for Naseeb, and petty disputes between the two wives bring comedy into the household.
