Tom Burlinson

Tom Burlinson is an actor and singer who was born in Canada and made his career in Australia. He trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in the 1974 class and graduated in 1976, then worked in Brisbane with the Queensland Theatre Company and the Twelfth Night Theatre before moving into Australian television, where he played Mickey Pratt in The Restless Years for 16 months. His breakthrough came as Jim Craig in The Man from Snowy River (1982), which became the highest-grossing Australian film at the time and made him a star. He went on to appear in Phar Lap (1983), Flesh+Blood (1985), Windrider (1986), The Time Guardian (1987) and Return to Snowy River (1988). He also sang Sinatra material, voiced the young Sinatra in the Golden Globe-winning miniseries Sinatra, and performed in stage musicals including The Producers and Chicago. He appeared in The Cup (2011).
