Robyn Cohen
Biography
Robyn Cohen is an American actress whose work spans film, television and theater. She trained in summer acting programs at Interlochen, Carnegie Mellon and Northwestern, toured with the Broadway revival of Cabaret while still in high school, and holds a B.F.A. from Juilliard. After relocating to Los Angeles, she studied at Playhouse West and later became an instructor there, co-teaching a master class with Jeff Goldblum. Her film credits include the script supervisor Anne Marie Sakowitz in Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), The Celestine Prophecy (2006), Good Time Max (2007) and Bedeviled (2016). On television she had a regular role on the Starz series Gravity and appeared in episodes of The Mentalist, NCIS and The Closer. She also performed onstage in the world premiere of No Way Around but Through at the Falcon Theater in 2012 and directed plays, including Tape in 2015.

Early training
During her teenage years, Cohen went to summer acting programs at Interlochen Performing Arts Camp, Carnegie Mellon University and Northwestern University. She then spent her senior year of high school touring with the Broadway musical revival of Cabaret.

Cohen began studying acting with Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West School and Repertory Company after she moved to Los Angeles, following her performance in A Christmas Carol at The Ford's Theater in Washington D.C.
A change of course
In 2006 Cohen started teaching at Playhouse West, and she also served as a team teacher alongside Jeff Goldblum in the master class program there.

Cohen took on a teaching role in 2014, working as an instructor at Studio 4, the acting school run by James Franco.
Behind the camera
Cohen directed Tape, a play by Stephen Belber, in 2015. Before that she directed Tennessee Williams's 27 Wagons Full of Cotton and William Saroyan's Hello out There.
