Reggie Nalder
Biography
Reggie Nalder was an Austrian actor whose film and television career ran from the late 1940s into the early 1990s. Born in Vienna in 1907, he began as a young performer in Vienna theaters and then in Paris cabarets during the 1930s. Following World War II, he was employed by the BBC's German language service. He was perhaps best remembered as an assassin in Alfred Hitchcock's The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), the vampire Kurt Barlow in a 1979 television version of Salem's Lot, and Ambassador Shras in a Star Trek episode. Frank Sinatra asked him to take a brief uncredited part as the spymaster Dmitri in The Manchurian Candidate (1962). Nalder also appeared in The Devil and Max Devlin (1981) and in episodes of series such as 77 Sunset Strip, It Takes a Thief, and I Spy.
