Reeve Carney
Biography
Reeve Carney is an American actor and musician who has also worked as a singer and songwriter. Raised in Manhattan's West Village in a family of performers, he sang in commercials and learned piano as a child, then studied studio jazz guitar at the University of Southern California. His first screen role came in The Saint of Fort Washington (1993), and he played young Ishmael Chambers in Snow Falling on Cedars (1999), a performance that won him a Young Artist Award. He went on to play Ferdinand in Julie Taymor's The Tempest (2010) and Peter Parker in the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. On television he appeared as Dorian Gray in Penny Dreadful and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again (2016). He originated Orpheus in the Tony Award winning musical Hadestown and later reprised the part in the West End.
