Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton is the professional name of Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., an American blogger, columnist and media personality. He was born in Miami and grew up in Florida, graduated from New York University in 2000, and tried acting before starting a celebrity gossip blog. Originally called PageSixSixSix.com, the site became known for posts about celebrities and for tabloid photos with his own captions and doodles. In 2005, within six months of starting, The Insider named it Hollywood's Most-Hated Website. He is the author of four books and hosts a podcast alongside Chris Booker, and he has acted in films and television programs, including a 2001 episode of The Sopranos. He also appeared in off-Broadway shows, making his New York theater debut in NEWSical The Musical in 2012, and in 2018 BroadwayWorld described him as the original celebrity social media influencer.
