Norman Snow

Norman Snow was an American actor who worked in theater, film and television and became known for playing Xur in The Last Starfighter (1984). Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he trained in the first class at the Juilliard School and helped found John Houseman's The Acting Company, where he took leading roles in classical plays, performing in New York City and touring in America and England. He also sang tenor in several Los Angeles choirs. Snow began screen acting in the late 1970s with the series Man from Atlantis and the film The Europeans (1979). During the 1980s he played A.D.A. John Blackwell on Texas and D.A. Hollis Martin on Another World, then portrayed Atlanta Police Chief Springfield in Michael Mann's Manhunter (1986). His later television included Torin in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Rightful Heir and a recurring role on Days of our Lives, and he returned to the screen as Jim Rock in Moonbeams (2001).
