Niall Horan

Biography

Niall Horan is an Irish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who came to prominence with One Direction, the boy band put together on The X Factor in 2010 from solo hopefuls who had failed to advance on their own. He sang with the group across five albums and appeared in its concert documentary One Direction: This Is Us (2013). When the band went on hiatus in 2016, Horan signed a solo recording deal with Capitol Records. Flicker, his 2017 debut, reached number one in Ireland and America, and Heartbreak Weather followed in 2020 and topped the UK Albums Chart. The Show (2023) and Dinner Party (2026) added further number ones, and in 2017 the American Music Awards named him its best new artist. He also coached on The Voice and won with his contestants in each of his first three seasons.
