Monique Candelaria
Biography
Monique Candelaria is an actress from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who trained in theater before moving into film and television. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2009 with a B.A. in theater with an emphasis in acting, and her first film role followed in the 1940s period piece Bless Me, Ultima (2013), directed by Carl Franklin. She is probably best known for playing Lucy, the Denny's waitress on Breaking Bad. Her first lead in a feature came with The Control Group (2014), opposite Brad Dourif, and she took a second lead in Cents (2016) as Angela Baca, a single mother raising a mathematically gifted son. Earlier, as a teenager, she danced on the Albuquerque television show Dance, Dance, Dance it's a Teen Thing, and she sang at weddings and funerals from about the age of seven.
