Michael Dante

Michael Dante is an American actor and a former minor league baseball player. He was born Ralph Vitti in Stamford, Connecticut, and while at spring training with the Washington Senators he studied drama at the University of Miami. Bandleader Tommy Dorsey helped arrange a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer screen test, and his first movie, Somebody Up There Likes Me, came out in 1956. Under contract to MGM, Warner Brothers and Twentieth Century Fox, he worked seven years in supporting parts. He has made 30 films and 150 television shows, among them Westbound (1959), Seven Thieves (1960), Kid Galahad (1962), The Naked Kiss (1964), Apache Rifles (1964), Arizona Raiders (1965), Willard (1971), Beyond Evil (1980) and That's the Way of the World (1975). On television he played Maab in a 1967 Star Trek episode, had recurring roles on Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, and hosted the syndicated radio program On Deck from 1995 to 2007.
