Lindsay Farris

Lindsay Farris, an Australian actor of Māori descent, has also worked as a writer, producer, and musician. Born in Kogarah, he built much of his early reputation on stage with companies including the Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir, and La Boite Theatre Company, and he earned a 2012 Sydney Theatre Award nomination for playing the title role in Hamlet for Sport For Jove. His theater credits also include The History Boys at the Sydney Opera House and Noises Off and Mojo. On screen he appeared in the short films Splintered (2005) and The Ground Beneath (2009), starred in Bad Behaviour, and co-produced and starred in Observance (2016), and he founded the National Youth Theatre Company. He has taught performing arts, written screenplays and stage plays, and authored a book for young actors, and he performs as a pianist.
