John Wyman

John Wyman is an English actor who came to screen work after stage training in London. He studied at the Actor's Workshop and in 1967 took juvenile leads with the Welsh Theatre Company. Television roles followed in 1968 on The Saint and The Avengers, and his first cinema part came in the 1969 spy film The Chairman. He played the horseman in Sidney Lumet's Equus (1977), Bahloul in Arabian Adventure (1979), and Erich Kriegler, a KGB Olympic champion and henchman, in For Your Eyes Only (1981), a James Bond film. Other credits include the BBC drama The Onedin Line, the science-fiction series Star Maidens, Revenge of the Pink Panther, and an episode of Hart to Hart. On stage he appeared in Pygmalion, Othello, and Are You Lonesome Tonight?, and he also played The Mighty Ajax in British television commercials.
