Jane Brennan

Jane Brennan is an Irish actress, born in 1960 into a family of actors and theater people, who built much of her career on the Dublin stage. She made her film debut in Attracta (1983), appeared in a 2002 television remake of The Magnificent Ambersons, and played Hannah Arnold in Benedict Arnold: A Question of Honor in 2003. On television she took the part of Lady Margaret Bryan in The Tudors. She is a co-founder of the Bespoke Theatre Company and has performed at the Abbey, Peacock and Gate theaters in Dublin, including in Dancing at Lughnasa and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. She had supporting roles in Intermission and Death of a Superhero (2011) and appeared opposite Sarah Bolger in A Good Woman Is Hard to Find (2019). Her role as Mary Lacey in Brooklyn (2015) won her the Best Supporting Actress prize at the 13th Irish Film and Television Awards.
