Jamie Donnelly

An American actress and singer, Jamie Donnelly is best known as Jan, a Pink Lady in the stage and film versions of Grease (1978). She was the only cast member to bring her stage character to the movie, and at 31 she dyed her hair to keep up the part. In the early 1970s she played Magenta and the Usherette in the American premiere of The Rocky Horror Show, appearing at Los Angeles's Roxy Theatre in 1974 with Tim Curry and Meat Loaf. She can be heard singing Science Fiction/Double Feature on the original Roxy cast recording, and in 1975 she joined most of that cast on Broadway. She did not reprise the role in the later film. Her stage work also includes a musical adaptation of Tarzan. She also turned up as herself in 2017 on the revived game show To Tell The Truth, where she revealed herself as one of the Pink Ladies.
