Jack Dee

Jack Dee is an English comedian who also acts, presents and writes, known for sarcasm and deadpan delivery. Born in Bromley in 1961, he grew up in Petts Wood before moving to Winchester when young. His first performance was an open-mic night at The Comedy Store in 1988, and in 1991 he was named best stage newcomer at the British Comedy Awards. The Jack Dee Show reached Channel 4 in 1992, followed by Jack Dee's Saturday Night and, in 1997, Jack Dee's Happy Hour. His Jack Dee Live at the Apollo earned a BAFTA nomination in 2006, and after joining the rotating hosts of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue in 2009 he became its permanent presenter. He was a team captain on Shooting Stars. He played Doug Digby in The Grimleys pilot and Steven Sharples MP in The Deputy, and he co-wrote and appeared in Lead Balloon as Rick Spleen. He co-wrote and starred in Bad Move in 2017.
