Biography

Irina Skobtseva was a Russian film actress who trained at the Moscow Art Theatre Studio from 1951 to 1955 after studying art at Moscow State University, where she took part in student drama. She was born in Tula. Her film debut came as Desdemona opposite Sergey Bondarchuk in Sergei Yutkevich's Othello (1956).
