Finn Atkins

Finn Atkins is a British actress of film, television and theater whose breakthrough arrived early, playing Marlene, the daughter of Shirley and Jimmy, in Shane Meadows's film Once Upon a Time in the Midlands (2002). She grew up in Nottingham, in the Clifton district, and joined the Television Workshop while still a pupil at primary school. Reviews of the Meadows film divided, yet her work drew praise: Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian thought a bouquet was due her way, and Sukhdev Sandhu of The Daily Telegraph judged her superb. In January 2009 she took the part of Marissa, a teenage prostitute, in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. She went on to become a regular on the Sky1 comedy drama Starlings, playing Charlie Starling, the daughter of Jan and Terry who is mad about football.
