Behind the award
Muth's screen debut came in Dolores Claiborne. At the 1995 Tokyo International Film Festival she shared a best supporting actress award for that role.
A change of course
Muth was briefly a model with Ford Models and Rascal's Agency before she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. She got her first professional experience in commercials in 1993.
A role that slipped away
In the original unaired pilot of the 2000 Fox show that later became Normal, Ohio, Muth played a guest role. That episode was called "Don't Ask", and a revamp of the show removed her part.
