Eden Sher

Eden Sher is an American actress and comedian who began acting at eight in school plays and local theater. Born in Los Angeles, she took early television roles as Gretchen on Weeds in 2006 and Carrie Fenton on Sons & Daughters from 2006 to 2007. She became best known for playing Sue Heck, the optimistic teenager, on the ABC sitcom The Middle from 2009 to 2018, a role that won her a Critics' Choice Television Award in 2013 and brought a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She later voiced Star Butterfly on the Disney show Star vs. the Forces of Evil from 2015 to 2019, had a recurring part as PJ Fields on Jane the Virgin in 2019, and took lead roles in the films The Outcasts (2017) and Step Sisters (2018). Since 2023 she has toured a one-woman show, I Was In A Sitcom, about her years on The Middle.
