Ed Leslie

Biography

Ed Leslie is a retired American wrestler known chiefly for his WWF persona Brutus the Barber Beefcake. Born in Tampa, Florida, he began competing in 1977 alongside Terry Bollea, with the two billed as brothers. Leslie was back in the WWF as a villain by late 1984, and he and Greg Valentine, billed as the Dream Team, captured the WWF Tag Team Championship. After that team split, he became a fan favorite and used a barber act, cutting the hair of defeated opponents. He later challenged Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Starrcade 1994, and appeared in WCW under ring names including The Butcher, The Zodiac, The Booty Man, and The Disciple. He also had television and film roles in Thunder in Paradise (1993) and The Ultimate Weapon (1998). Hogan inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.
