Debrah Farentino

Biography

Debrah Farentino is an American actress, producer and journalist who began her career as a model before breaking into television in 1982 with the CBS daytime soap opera Capitol, which she appeared in until 1987. She moved to prime time with a leading role in the ABC comedy drama Hooperman, then starred in a run of dramatic series in the 1990s, among them Equal Justice, Earth 2, EZ Streets and Get Real. Perhaps her most famous role was Devon Adair in Earth 2 (1994), described as the first female commander in a science fiction series. Other credits include the comedy Son of the Pink Panther (1993), the miniseries Storm of the Century and the Syfy series Eureka, and she guest starred on shows such as NYPD Blue, JAG and Hawaii Five-0. She has also produced specials for PBS, earning a Suncoast Emmy nomination.
