Apichart Chusakul
Biography
Apichart Choosakul was a Thai actor and director who came to prominence in 1997 as Moo Chien, the former mafia police officer in Dang Bireley's and Young Gangsters. Born in Saraburi in central Thailand in 1956, he studied at Assumption College and earned a degree in communication arts from Chulalongkorn University. His turn as a discreet older gangster stayed with audiences, brought him the best supporting actor prize from the Bangkok Critics Assembly and earned him the nickname Thai Morgan Freeman. He went on to appear in many films and television series in supporting parts and worked as an assistant director on Thai and international productions, among them The Legend of Suriyothai (2001), Stealth (2005) and Rambo IV (2008). He died in 2010.
