Aidan Shipley

Aidan Shipley is a Canadian actor who grew up in Stratford, Ontario, where the theater community around him shaped his early career. As a boy at the Stratford Festival he took the part of Medea's young son and played Prince Arthur in King John, learning from established stage actors such as Martha Henry, Peter Donaldson, Tom McCamus and Seana McKenna. He then spent two years in Ireland studying hip-hop and breakdance before coming back to Canada for high school, where he balanced dancing with acting and won television and film work that included Vacation with Derek for the Family Channel and Pure Pwnage for Showcase. Later he enrolled in Ryerson University's film program to focus on directing while still taking screen roles, among them Red Lights with Cillian Murphy, Atom Egoyan's Queen of the Night with Ryan Reynolds, and the series Rookie Blue, What's up Warthogs and Flashpoint.
