Plot summary
Vikramaditya, known as Aditya, works as a palmist in Italy in the 1970s, and his readings have made him famous. He is the chief disciple of Paramahamsa, a spiritual saint, and he calls himself a playboy who does not believe that love exists. On a train journey he meets Dr. Prerana, a physician, and is drawn to her. He traces her to the hospital where she works and proposes a casual, flirtatious arrangement. Insulted at first, she agrees to date him, against the warnings of her uncle, Dean Chakravarthy. Aditya also gives a reading to Anand Rajput, an ambitious young man and the son of a rich tycoon, and tells him he will inherit the family business rather than succeed in politics.
