Plot summary
Daniel is 40 years old and works as a police officer. He has been taken off active duty, and an internal investigation into violence is open against him. For some time he has been involved through the internet with Sara; the two send each other messages but have never met. When her answers stop, he gets into his car and drives north to look for her. He carries her photograph and shows it to the people he meets, asking whether they know the woman in it. None of them does. A man he runs into says he can put the two of them in contact, on certain conditions.
