Plot summary
Kim Young-ho has lost his house in the economic crisis and lives in a shack beside a highway. A radio broadcast tells him his old friends will hold a twenty-year reunion picnic by the river in three days; he buys a pistol, and his ex-wife Hong-ja turns him away at the door. The husband of his first love, Sun-im, then finds him and takes him to the hospital where Sun-im lies in a coma, and leaves him the old camera she had kept for him. At the picnic, Young-ho shouts and sings, walks onto a railroad trestle, and screams that he wants to go back.
