Plot summary
The war between people and machines closes with a nuclear detonation and the start of a Dark Age without technology or power. As the bombs go off on that last day, a dying soldier fires into the head of the robot Omega Doom, and the bullet erases his orders to wipe out humankind. With people gone from the world, only robots and cyborgs are left. Omega Doom, now a wanderer, comes to a wrecked city holding an odd community of robots and roms, the newer and more advanced machines, who are at odds with one another. Two peaceful robots remain there: a onetime nanny who tends bar, and a former teacher's head that the others treat as a plaything. The Head speaks of a hidden weapons stock both sides covet.

- Albert Pyun and Ed Naha’s screenplay was originally set in Paris, at EuroDisney, with the characters as an animatronic theme park’s figures who continue to operate after a global catastrophe, and Omega Doom built for a new exhibit around the Terminator franchise.
- Christopher Lambert was considered for the lead role in Omega Doom, but the part eventually went to Rutger Hauer, who was cast instead.
