Plot summary
Marek is a young sorceress who lives under a curse, and the world around her is being swallowed by the Lich King's zombie legions. With Dagen, a half-elf rogue who puts himself first, she sets out to find a weapon that belongs to the gods. If the Lich King is not stopped, the gods will fall and the world will be enslaved. Marek also carries a power inside her that could pull her toward darkness, and she has to keep hold of the good in herself if her companions are to survive. To fight the Lich King, she joins the enemy she once swore against.
