Plot summary
Lee Seung-jin takes a new studio apartment as he is settling in while preparing for an audition, hoping to become a singer. On his first night he hears a woman wailing from the room next door. She is Hong La-ni, and because her room is badly soundproofed, the noise she makes has driven several neighbors away. Seung-jin is not one to back down easily, and the argument between them intensifies until each has learned everything about the other's life through the noises, though neither knows the other's name or face.
