Mixed Doubles (2017) on Netflix

Plot summary

Tamako Tomita grows up a table tennis prodigy, trained hard by her mother, and she quits the sport when her mother dies. She dates Akihiko Ejima, the company's star table tennis player, and after that relationship ends she leaves the job and returns to her hometown. Her father, who drives a taxi, tells her he is deeply in debt and that the family's table tennis club may have to close, so she takes work at a canned food factory. She enters the national tournament with the club's other five members as mixed doubles pairs, an easier route than singles, and is partnered with Hisashi Hagiwara, a divorced former boxer who works in construction nearby and who took up the sport after his daughter did.
