Plot summary
Raised as a Spartan and drilled for the throne, Leonidas is sent into the wild, survives the winter, and returns as king wearing a penguin skin hat. He watches Margo dance, asks her to marry him, and years afterward trains his son. A Persian messenger, escorted by the politician Traitoro, brings King Xerxes' demand that Sparta submit. Leonidas throws the man and his guards into a pit and chooses war. The prophets and the Oracle tell him he will not come back alive. Of the soldiers who answer his call, only thirteen meet the requirements, among them Captain, Captain's son Sonio, and the slightly unfit Dilio, and they march to the narrow pass at Thermopylae, where the deformed Paris Hilton comes out to meet them.
