Plot summary
Lupin wants the computer files on his crimes erased, and the Ultravirus, a program built to wipe protected data, is the only thing that can do it. Interpol's supercomputer has been predicting his every move, so the gentleman thief has settled down. Jigen asks him for one last heist, and the target is the Super Egg, a giant diamond stolen from the Three Masons, a secret society, and hidden inside the Statue of Liberty. Recovering it means stealing the entire Statue. Goemon takes a job as bodyguard to Isabelle, a fancy-dressed woman also seeking the Super Egg. To get the Ultravirus, Lupin needs the help of Michael, a boy genius.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Manga Entertainment's English dub, released on VHS in the UK on 9 September 1996 as Goodbye Lady Liberty, renamed Lupin "Wolf" because of copyright issues with the Maurice Leblanc estate.
- The special uses Osamu Dezaki's "Postcard memories" technique, also called "Harmony", which adds painted lines to a cel for a watercolor effect with minimal animation; normally used to end a scene, here it also appears in action scenes.
- The special also uses the "triple take", a technique that moves a cel quickly across the camera multiple times, usually in three passes, to produce a sense of speed.
